As previously announced there will be an electrical shutdown in the Henry Angus building this weekend in support of the building renovations. This will cause a disruption in network services to the Sauder community.
As a precaution, everyone should log out from and shut down their workstations, printers, etc. before 10:00 pm on Saturday evening to minimize the potential for loss of data or equipment damage when the power is turned off.
This service disruption will affect all Sauder network services within the Henry Angus and David Lam buildings:
- All wired and wireless access to the Internet
- All access to the Novell NetWare networks (main, PCLab, Exec Ed)
- All access to the computer Undergraduate/Masters/David Lam Library labs
- Network printing
- Services provided by the people.sauder.ubc.ca server
This service disruption should not affect:
- E-Mail services, although access will not be available in the Henry Angus or David Lam buildings
- The main Sauder website
- Executive Education on-line services
- Real Estate on-line services
- Secure web services
Full network services are expected to be restored by 11:00 am Sunday March 20, 2011.
